Value For Money : Excellent
Distortion overdrive very classic type transistor (do not imagine that there is a lamp in it that "TUBE OVERDRIVE" is written on it .... which is totally false from Digitech!
Connector jacks: guitar input, output amplifier and more: an output mixer (simulating an amp to play directly on the sound system or recording.)
Very solid, not a good look, power adapter or 9V battery, nothing to say ...
For me, something like it's all good: 9 / 10 (not 10 because of the small deception / scam ...!)

UTILIZATION

Extremely simple operation,
4 knobs: level, bass, highs, gain
irréprochable.Pas effectiveness of breath unbearable, the pedal does not "food" not your guitar sound, or by-pass or with the effect: Class!

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is very good (for this type of pedal of course) .. I also have another little green devil, the classic Ibanez Tube Screamer from home (a vintage original), well to be honest, I much prefer the Bad monkey ... more "heat", the more serious and low mids. Contrary to this Ibanez "Tube Screamer", my "BAD MONKEY" fairly well preserved for low and medium-serious, always so sensitive about this kind of pedals ......( I wonder aillieurs if it had existed at the very early 80's, Stevie Ray Vaughan would not have adopted it would not later became the "star" of overdrives, because frankly, it is greater than my own that I TS "food" all my serious ! We have no idea?
Finally, today snobbery drives so many people snapping three or four times more money for a worse product ... "Too bad for those who prefer a more skinny (if! If!)." Once it is horribly more expensive, the customer is happy with his product. Ha Ha ...
Note, however, a tube preamp is very different! Here we have a pedal that wants to be a simulator lamps and has no other claims. It sounds very much like a "transistor overdrive."
I also have an entire farm tube preamps at home, and it is clear that it has little things to see!
This type of sound is, however, become a true classic for guitar. It is very popular and interesting in itself .. and rightly I think, especially for "overfilling" of a real tube preamps to precisely! ..
In no event shall the transistors can not "replace" the lamps, but just try to imitate them, with, as appropriate, varying degrees of happiness.
Finally, this is only my very humble opinion. So my rating is 8 / 10, knowing that it is "evaluating an Overdrive pedal transistor" and nothing else.
Exit "PA / mixer is cool, and in some cases, a small amp will suffice as you back (a bit of reverb on the sound system is needed, however, but it's still very correct as if the balance with other is made)

OVERALL OPINION

I did not for a long time and among my collection of overdrive pedals of this type (I also have an entire farm p'tit!) Is one of my favorites! .
For its quality / price ratio it has little equivalent in today's market I think .. The Bad Monkey is for me a great deal. Do not miss the opportunity if it arises, of course, but please try it in the store, it really is not expensive and it sounds great for the price.
Let the "Vintage Reissue" Today the snobs! They are no better! (The overdrive anyway !)... and prices became exorbitant ... unreasonable.
However, in the series of "Real Vintage", there may be some exceptions, but again, nothing is routine. Personally the only one who love me completely "blown away" is the Ibanez "Super Tube" a rare 80's ...... what chance I had to find it!. Overdrive pedal exceptional: I love it. Nothing to do with my Ibanez TS. This Ibanez "Super Tube" deserves its place in the real big boys ... but it is not at all in the same price range as the Bad Monkey! And yet ... if by chance you fall over, I will give you an advice ... Bond! RHAAAAA!
. Sometimes it would almost be justified to "ruin"! Alas! I confess.
Meanwhile, this blessed day, the Maid DIGITECH will do the trick ...
