Value For Money : Excellent
Dual transistor preamps. Dual DI 60dB gain in 5dB steps. attenuator-20dB +48 v phantom power high-pass filter at 75Hz on / off switch with separate power supply another switch. (Missing a phase inverter) with rugged nice finish.

UTILIZATION

attention to the channels are reversed on the back, looking back channel 1 is left and right channel 2.

SOUND QUALITY

very transparent preamps. its balanced, lively, good transient transcribed. No breath at high gain. with a couple of microphones ST1 of the same brand, it works very well in stereo overheads and on acoustic guitar PDS (for a great price!) 60dB is more than enough for the static condenser and dynamic. (At 2 / 3 on almost all taken)

OVERALL OPINION

I own the sonora recently. So I think certainly evolve. In any case, the preamp is very faithful: they correspond specifically to classical music, jazz ... A truly pro quality (PSU separate gain notched perfect finish, Neutrik XLR, gold plated base DI ...)

very good value for money!

edit of 25.02.10:
really good préeamps very transparent: the transients are very well transcribed. In overhead is really good, the cymbals are airy (although it was not "large model") and remain very defined even in the acute-on.
On sax is also very good (with akg C1000), even with voice-sm58 is clear and precise.

Very clear and precise, not colored.
