Well in my case I needed a single with more potato for the pair with my EMG HZ H4 bridge. So in the neck position this microphone is excellent ... I understand why many people say that h s'acharnent passive EMG are rotten! I who am very demanding on the quality of the sound, I find many trs. That said it is not either ... excetionel EMG is a registered rpute for its active pickups ... but I must admit that the pickups are passive EMG trs property, but not good as well the Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio ... the choice was made because on the one hand my budget was limited and the other had a dja HZ H4 bridge ... and even if I opted for the versatility, I was still homogne prfre that: it is that my guitars are all teams with the same brand of microphones (or that of Seymour Duncan, or that DiMarzio or EMG for example). It's a matter of taste ... It is always easier to couple a microphone by another of the same manufacturer to keep the consistency in the sound ... That said I know guitarists who like guitars "Frankenstein "(lol).

Returning to the microphone: sound is very strat especially clean and trs prcis attacks of mdiator. Enchantment for the solos in the round trip or sweep picking the 200 hours that's great! it has less power and gain as I dared esprer but sometimes follow the same HZ H4 qd ...

At the price quality ratio HZ any kind are great, but personally I do it again this choice only for teams of mid-range guitars with microphones origins are not ... not invest trribles bcp money you get more potential to bcp the guitar sound ... Or if you have the means to invest in assets or EMG Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio, Crel, etc. Do not hesitate ... ... the HZ become a solution for the budget INTERESTED and dpt of what I heard on the passive EMG, I find trs well!
