«  actually, no one competes ... »

Everything has been said, see other opinions or directly at Engl for more info.
In my case, I do not need more ... even if a noisegate and have built an attenuator mounted my note 10.

UTILIZATION

As has been said, the config is very simple, one branch, it does everything at noon and it sounds! Then we will be able to play with knobs that are highly reactive in a mini-rotation to the right or left, it changes the sound is very much appreciated. In addition, the switches of bright and depth (made to increase the response of the treble and bass) open other opportunities for her.
So we get something very easily very high level.
No manual for cons but it is available for download in Engl and is very comprehensive, we learn how to deal with the beast, how to avoid feedback microphone, how to compensate for the fact that there is a common gain .. .

SOUNDS

I play a little bit of everything but mainly metal and of course it is perfectly suited to this style, the distortion is huge, no need to turn up the gain to more than 12, ESP Eclipse Custom on my EMG 60/81 I rise no more 11 am never allowing me to have a huge gain and keep a clean pure on 60. Even on my old Ibanez, I do not exceed half.
Clean and let's talk! It is very beautiful, very pure, very bright, snapping if desired, more rounded if necessary, I consider it one of the many strengths of this head.
But beyond the huge distortion from this precision, this stunning clean and clean grain in Engl, the beast is also more honest about sound and hard-rock crunch, try, turn down the gain at 9 am lez mount mediums and bass at 13, 14h, you tell me the news ...

As you can see, I'm a fan of all the sounds that Fireball offers.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a little over one month at a rate of one hour per day, only to me or my drummer, I had a Randall RH150 G3 addition, Marshall transos, hybrids, I heard Vox, Peavey, and Mesa, tried a TSL100 (all very different of course) and well I think I finally found what I was looking for, coupled with an Engl cab E212VH and my Eclipse, it's enjoyable sipmlement , no need for effects, it is sufficient unto itself.

And what about the quality / price ratio? For me, unbeatable, I got it secondhand for 650 with footswitch Z4 and even nine in 1000, in his field, I do not see who is better.
Without hesitation, I would do this choice.
