- What characteristics have motivated your choice?
the obligation of having to work to bring the Protools taff at home and because some DA swear by Protools HD.
- For what purpose?
sounds made inside, outside, mixing, editing audio.
- What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard ,...)?
Apple MacBook Pro latest model. FW 300GB external drive, 2GB of RAM.
- Which instruments and systems (console, preamp, DTD ...) you use it and how connections? ...
Avalon preamp, mainly Brauner microphone. addition intruments as personal.
NOTE
I put 5 / 10 only for the following reasons:
. no Firewire.
. very few I / O analog.
. build quality improved.
. converting audio quality for improvement as well.
UTILIZATION
- The installation is done it without problems?
not encountered any trouble implementing. used to working with many different external devices.
- Have you experienced any incompatibilities?
no, nothing yet.
- The general configuration is easy?
yes, nothing to complain of this point of view.
- The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
if indeed that is anglophile, yes.
GETTING STARTED
- The drivers are stable?
yes, nothing to complain either to that side.
- Are they often updated?
dunno.
- What software do you use most often?
eh eh ... well if we still had much choice! no kidding, Protools LE so obviously ... on this map. if Nuendo and Digital Performer, but certainly not with the MBOX, otherwise it crashes half the time.
- What you get lag?
Live by the card, latency innaceptable really a product of this generation. have to go through a table of apoint to monitor the voices for example.
- How many tracks you get to record / play time? ...
4, four, four ... four! ridiculous. That said, given the number of entries, you know ...

six months now.
- What is so special that you like most and least?
I like nothing on this card, absolutely nothing. if not being able to use Protools so.
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
yes, a dozen at least.
- How would you rate the quality / price?
disappointing. when I read that this card only allows for a system of recording with a portable stand-alone software bundle at an unbeatable price, I jump! I have a MOTU Ultralite to AudioDesk comes with, I bought 499 euro, 60 euro more than just supply Digidesign. I'm doing a hundred times more things, I have no problem in a few areas, I bcp more I / O, it is firewire, the sound is much more dynamic and precise over the MOTU allows to have a mixer 10 inputs fully automome, I return all my microphones, samplers and keyboards and above all dedicated to his patch: superbly practical and effective. more AudioDesk (Digital Performer without the South) is really pro and allows for the catch, the mix and really fitting in a professional manner.
- How would you rate the quality / price?
expensive, very expensive for a lighter version of the software obsolete.
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
I can not afford to have a HD station at home and need a portable solution, unfortunately yes.
