What technical specifications motivated your choice?
I had a Pod XT 6 months, then zoom G9 (excellentissime! but complex), in the meantime I also had a transistor amplifier to amplify the g9 (a piphone I c what else ...) Finally, last I had a fender Rementer GDEC 30. pod xt Plasai bcp me but I had a pblm of compatibility between the USB interface and my motherboard (a7n8xe deluxe) a pblm insiluble known but which gave the "jack carc hook" in the enregistremetn cubase .. . then I had the g9 which has a USB interface compatible ... the foot, a great machine, sounds really lamps (yen 2) but dsrglage ultrathin, who spend hours and trs trs little or no presets subcultured on the net ... too complex!! So then I had the fender g Dec. 30 ... a super clear sound throughout the modlisation a hp and a really simpa connectiqye midi ... but it was too much for me (rhythm box line low ...) finally threw myself into the TonePort esprant I have no problem with the usb and not it works ...
For what purpose?
To register in cubase or another ... but to hear me play and above all, to replace my sound card pci really struggling to avai ... prciser but important thing, I also acquired two 70w studio monitor with 5 hp "and it changes lives! the online cost of monitors with TonePort + stuido replace tr s advantageously games amp ... same dynamic depth of sound, balance of frequencies and especially stro ...
Otherwise, to return to the TonePort, the presets are rotten core ... But I found on the net a zip file containing all the benefits of pod2, pod xt, vetta2, etc. flextone3. And, oh miracle, the majority of them are compatible with TonePort ... So I end up with hundreds of benefits available and I found my happiness.
Recording in cubase is no one bit simpler ... as if avai an amp on a branch line between the external sound card ... latency, ben yen is little or no gender - 8 ms, but ca ca dpends the size of the buffer and therefore wants the power of your proceseur.
Cot Sound: prs be loaded presets qq pod xt c simpelemtn just bluffing, c at least as good as the xt ... and with my studio monitors standard c ... before the headphone ct prettier than the pod on a headphone amp ... now c less beautiful than the TonePort on monitoring: HUGE
UTILIZATION
No one particular branch pblm it works, do not forget to set Windows so that the TonePort itself recognized in both reading and recording ...

OVERALL OPINION
I recently dja but spent a lot of hours on it ... compared to what I have essay dja c the best product for my use of homestudiste ... I have a big sound on cubase, and direct costs, the top c ... inconvnient one is just not all tranqporte for group play ... although, the TonePort live on a PA ca do do so, but must walk around with a laptop ... then the advantage over a pod xt, c ben makes it sound card, you just record the guitar, bass and voice ...
