Prism Sound has started the distribution of its Lyra audio interfaces, which were introduced at AES 2012.
The late release of the Lyra USB 2.0 audio interfaces is due to manufacturing issues but they are finally here. Both Lyra 1 and Lyra 2 are based on a ARM Cortex “Xcore” processor, and feature a DSP processor, S/PDIF optical input and output, a 1/4" headphone output with dedicated level and a digital mixer with fader, pan, mute and solo on each channel. 48V phantom power and –20dB pad are also included.
Lyra 1 feature two line level 1/4" analog inputs, one XLR mic input/preamp and a front 1/4" instrument input, as well as two 1/4" analog outputs. It retails for 2000€ approximately.
Lyra 2 has two front 1/4" instrument inputs, two mic preamps with XLR inputs, two 1/4" line inputs on the rear, four line output with bus and built-in mixer routing switch, 8-channel ADAT and WordClock inputs and outputs and an Ethernet port. Its price is 2800€ approximately.
