I was not able to edit them on PC, I work, I find it weird. on the other hand, they are easily savable, and we can import from the manufacturer site, depending known titles.
I takes only "good" for the moment in this category because I have not found how to edit effects on pc, if this is possible, then the rating will go up. But in this case, the interface is not clear ...

UTILIZATION

Rather simple, but many preset, you have to spend time searching. For editing effects, it is simple. The manual is clear.

Everything is configurable, but in moderation: for reverb for example, has a whole series of different simulations, and for each rule on the level and decay. Enough general rule, but the specialist home studio and full effect could be frustrated.

Little additional info: USB connection allows you to record your favorite sounds out of VoiceLive software directly, without passing through a sound card. on the other hand, it is mono (injury). For the stereo, it will go through an interface.

SOUND QUALITY

For what I've tried for the moment, it is very nice, clean and very efficient. It finds herself with artificial sounds if you do not take care to go slowly, but it seems logical given the plethora of effects arranged.

The harmonies are effective and play their role, we want to put everywhere!

I use an electro-acoustic guitar, so I will not judge the effects for electric guitar. For guitar effects for me, I have not explored it enough to judge.

No breath, except that of my guitar, but there VoiceLive is nothing to do, there is a gate that gets the job done: a small click when the gate turns off when the guitar attack, to see the use if it is embarrassing.
The sound is very clean.

Compressor, de-esser, EQ, gate ... everything is present, nothing is configurable in detail. But it works well, there is a choice between several desired results. when it all off, the sound dry micro looks bleak, it quickly puts the machine at work, and forget.

On additional voice, VoiceLive Play GTX offers 2 voice over (the third and the fifth for example). BUT, you can put in longer doubling effect, which offers eg 2 vote in addition to the octave. It can therefore be left with 4 singers: this is cool!

Small addition: When used with headphones (this is less pronounced sound, and the sound is, the less it does), there is a small delay between what you sing and what you up to ears. So, it gives an impression of delay a little synthetic. In fact, it does it at the singer. Those who listen only hear amplified version, phew.

No, it's a little foutage of mouth. In the box there is only a quick start guide. The first few minutes, you feel a bit lost but once you read the manual (downloadable), everything seems much simpler. Getting started is quick and hassle free.

SOUND QUALITY

I first connected my XLR to studio monitors M-AUDIO BX8a: PERFECT!! The big slap!

Then I tried to connect to the line input of my POD Studio UX2, and there is the same as slap. The sound quality is at the appointment. I honestly did not expect this. No hum, no noise, it is nickel. The quality of the pre-amp is excellent (thank you Helicon!)
I use it with a microphone SHURE SM58 is great. The harmonies are beautiful and quite realistic. The effects are really stunning. For cons, I find that the gain knob located on the side very practical. But hey, it does a good job and it helps manage the feedback (almost nonexistent).

I would add that in conncetée usb on a PC or a Mac, this pedal acts as a recording interface.

Whether it's an electro acoustic or electric is perfect. Everything is configurable. The guitar effects are not transcendent but honestly, it does.

I just need a sound processor to equip my home studio, when suddenly I saw the price difference between the play and the play version of GTX I did not hesitate. 100 euros more, it can take it anywhere, repeats or knocking beef unencumbered supplémentaire.Ok a pedal, the amp simulations are not great in comparison with my guitar rig or pod Pro but frankly it does.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 days. I had the opportunity to test the VoiceWorks addition, it is much better but too complex to set up.

What I like the most: manufacturing quality and robustness, simplicity to use and edit the various functions, but also the sound quality!!

What I like least? Nothing, except the gain dial and the fact that there was no switch but only a power supply.

Maybe a little too early to tell, but I'm really happy with my choice and I do not regret it. This pedal is really an ally of the singer and guitarist

The Voice Live Play GTX has been in my possession since June. I love the 2 voices (humanized doubling) and the (Natural Play) harmonies. The preamp is low noise and very quiet. The Play GTX is a smaller unit and it is pretty light and not weighing too much. It is very well built though and seems pretty solid. I have been using this a lot over the last few months and I have put the GTX through some bad situations. I have spilled stuff on it and dropped it a few times. It still keeps working and looks like nothing has ever happened to it.


UTILIZATION

It does come with a manual which I really didn’t like too much. It was boring and confusing, it did not help me understand the Voice Live Play GTX at all. I ended up just getting online to find out all of the beginner stuff that I needed to know.


SOUND QUALITY

It comes stocked with 200 plus presets and all of them can be easily customized and changed to your liking. The GTX has a headphone output and an input (Aux) for whatever you want, I mainly use it with a CD/MP3 player. It does have MIDI in and USB connection.


OVERALL OPINION

The Voice Live Play GTX will let you get a great sound on your vocals without having to double them a bunch of times. Doubling your vocals can get time consuming and get sloppy quickly, not to mention taking up a lot of tracks in your DAW. Just use the Voice Live Play GTX and let it do the doubling for you, if you want to use it with your guitar it has all of the effects you need like flange, chorus, reverb, EQ, delay and distortions. The best part is, you can go online and download a ton of more presets very easily. You will never run out of presets and new ideas with the Voice Live Play GTX.

The potential of this little machine is excellent! The effects are very good, it's a kind of best-of in a smaller size.

What's funny is that I did not used this machine to sing and play guitar with since I am not a guitarist ....

There is also a looper fashion that I did not use but which is very simple to use.

UTILIZATION

OVERALL OPINION

UTILIZATION

Let's start with what annoys: The pre-amp and its setting. Zero. And that's a shame because it was first made Voicelive for "sung in" ... and to sing in it must connect a microphone. I tested four different. The only one who got away with the pre-amp is a capacitor (t-bone) and yet, when I say "released" I'm nice. The knob on the side is not practical at all and the race is very small gain of 95% on full blast and a few millimeters remaining ... not good at all on that side.
For the rest it is very well done, well thought out ergonomics. The menu navigation is intuitive, the display is clear. many options ... TC-Helicon's quality. All the know-how TC is in the machine (on guitar harmonies on Midi in, on auxillary input on integrated microphone background, nice reverbs, full of fun effects ... etc.)
Note that this only works VoiceLive Play plugged in, not on batteries.

SOUND QUALITY

Once you find the microphone who wants to work with this machine, the overall quality is good, the TC-Helicon. The guitar effects board without being transcendent are well made and can be considered not to move with his pedal effects 5kg (son and all . OVERALL OPINION

Too bad ... damage they are misses on the pre-amp this VoiceLive. I am familiar with their products used intensely and VoiceWork VoiceLive 2. In fact this pedal is a sort of half VoiceLive 2. The number of dubbing / harmonies is 2 times lower. I think they have placed a single DSP. The VoiceLive 2 has cons, not perfect, a very good pre-amp AGC, nothing to do with this ersatz VoiceLive in this Play. As this machine is mainly done to receive the same voices that go into a microphone, it is simply barely passable and the worst part is that it takes all the good potential of the craft.
In short: tried, triturated for one month ... returned from the merchant. Not good.
If this kind of pedal "voice" tempts you, look in Cygnus VoiceLive 2 'or VoiceWork MIDI or if you need programming. Or wait to have the budget for the afore-mentioned products, there's no picture!
EDIT: For ceusses who would really buy this machine and have them set in a pre-amp, they can go through it and entered the VoiceLive Play with a setting for dynamic mic ... it can be a solution but ... if you must come with its pre-amp, that's not it!
