Value For Money :
Excellent
I do not return on the technical characteristics set out in numerous opinions and ... in its data sheet. In summary:
- A pre-effects section: COMP (Compressor), PICKUP (simulates a guitar with a humbucking single coil ... or vice versa), ACOUSTIC (simulates an acoustic guitar), VOX WAH (wahwah), AUTO WAH , U-VIBE/PHASE, Chorus / Flanger, OCTAVE, RING MOD, DRONE, SYNTH, pickup (,
- An amplifier section is where you choose the type of distortion is the type of amp simulator (which is associated with a simulated speaker (modifiable and can be disabled)
- A section Modulation: chotus, flanger, phaser, because some "special"
- A section Delay
- A reverb section.
Software is available for free download to save / edit upload / download sounds. PC/ax3000g communication is done via the MIDI port (you need a midi interface so PC side).
UTILIZATION
The principles are simple to use. Which can make use complex ... is the wealth of opportunities and interactions. Example: when you use an amp simulator, you have the ability to adjust the tone (trebble, middle, bass), but the gain associated with the enclosure. So if you add the other items available which are configurable, imagine the number of combinations!
The pedal can be assigned to control volume or wah-wah ... or many other parameters (eg speed of the delay, chorus depth, portamento, etc ... It can also be disabled
Personally, I kept a volume pedal and I use depending on the pedal as the AX3000G whawha as a controller or other parameters.
SOUND QUALITY
As a preamble I would say that I see many comments on this or other multi-effect that seems to ignore the other elements of the chain (guitar, amp, sound system, etc. ...). Sounds to me are very good and can be judged by plugging a (good) headphones to the jack corresponding AX3000G. So I appreciated the extent of possibility of the craft and that is how I prepare my sounds, leaving me to repeat them only small adjustments with respect to the amp used and the sound system.
I think that when using a multi-effects (especially lorqu'il includes amp simulation), it is better to have an amp behind as neutral as possible because otherwise you can reach a large boiled quelquesoit sound quality multi-effects and the amp. Me I use the clean channel of a small Roland Cube 60.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a year. Bought 169 euros from Thomann. I had a problem on it (down unwanted noise). He is exchanged against a new one -> no complaints.
Very good value for money. I just hope that the Chinese manufactures are treated well ... and yes in our enthusiasm we must not forget that all these materials are a nice bargain prices through the exploitation of workers / esclaves...et the detriment of our local industry).
