Ibanez RG827QMZ

My birthday! The craft is amazing in features and finish, for the price it's just unbelievable.
The handle is a 5units like rg7421 and apex2, but also by reinforcing titanium.
The back of the neck is not painted as the head, but crude, it is surprising but it's nice to use. Flat and wide, perfect frets, ditto ozégu access, no complaints.
Basswood body, it is fairer than mahogany for this type of guitar (my ibanez apex2 not ring, if I speak).
The pickups are fabulous, new, in that the material is oxygen-free (like good headphones) or no less subject to deterioration due to oxidation.
The wiring is typical of cunning at Ibanez, three more two tones sound gibson fender, all without noise and automatic (no need to press other buttons etc.).
The volume has the capacitor magic, no loss of treble when you fall.

The vibrato promises on paper, but annoys me tremendously, explanations:
This is a dual system, equipped with a back-box if you want. It can move in both directions, and when you loose it amounts to a quasi-fixed midpoint. This is surprising for a regular floating tremolo. The advantage is that at bends it behaves like a fixed bridge, and if we put it well above the palm not move, ditto if you break a string. But the feeling is disastrous for me, so I removed the back-box back.
Everything is very well done, except that there are only two springs to hold the movable block, instead of the usual 3A5. Bottom line I had to tighten the max to be granted flat and I have not the slightest margin. It is crap, in a word incomprehensible.

UTILIZATION

The whole system back rests on a metal plate, which gives a flashy side as my other rg did not. A vacuum it sounds loud enough.

The weight is good, nitro nitropeu, the balance is perfect standing as sitting, cants ideally placed, as short-tone volume is Ibanez.

The use of vibrato is completely floating top, it's all hair cell. Cons must play by the allen key to change the strings ...

To use it is the dream, especially as security can be put together in the back-box vibrato.

SOUNDS

My and my apex2 rg7421 feature PRO7 paf humbucker axis in acute and in serious sound really great in clean / crunch / heavy, so I will place the new relation to them.
It's simple, all spring better, clearer more punchy more defined, like BBE sonic maximizer for those who know.
These pickups are fabulous, a very pronounced grain. Position 2 and 4 is successful, more than usual.
So I confirm the validity of using the winding wire oxygen-free, in fact if you think this is obvious.

I use a lot of position 2 (run in parallel) in clean, everything is there and with the floating tremolo is addictive on jazz chords (probably banned by the academy but good) ...
Position 4 (neck and bridge splitted) is ideally suited for bluesy bazaar, with the upper mid-range beaded delicious.
The other three positions is for HiGain is juicy-clear definition, harmonics fuse (probably an effect of the metal plate on the back) do not throw more brief.

If you are told qu'emg is better I do not see how. However I do not play at all (as in: doom metal, thrash metal, death metal, heavy naked core,!)

OVERALL OPINION

Everything is great, unless you want to use the old-fashioned vibrato is completely floating.
I noticed some grain a little sandy at the back of the neck, a blow of steel wool and it will be the end of inconvenience.

I did almost a decade of universe (the one with the green fluorescent micros), which was well cost four times more expensive to ring 10 times less than minimum. To determine the level of 827. With that said, the universe was absolutely reliable, concerts, rehearsals, studio never any problems.
The 827 will probably both over time, then it's been 6 months so good ...

Note on the springs fully floating mode, with two loops are not in the axis and more so to take tintin standard springs. Grr.
