Pedal Overdrive / distortion of the analogue type.
Jack IN and OUT
Classical setting: Volume, Tone, Gain

Its distinctive feature (the first strong point): it offers a choice between two modes of saturation: saturation greater distortion (type DS1), and a second more overdrive (tending a little to the fuzz).

However, it has the defect of its quality: we would have liked a foot switch instead, especially in live condition. why I put 9 / 10.

I have version 3.

UTILIZATION

Second strong point is adjustable very effective!
Namely:
1) a usable gain over the life of the potentiometer. Moving from a very light saturation, a big distortion
2) a tone very efficient (very sensitive)
3) a good amount of volume in reserve

Weakness: régagles volume and tone to be adjusted from a saturation mode to another ... a shame because some exploitable live ... why I put 8 / 10.

SOUND QUALITY

Basic Setup: Fender Stratocaster 60 'Fender Hot Rod Deville +

The quality of this pedal is felt right away! the two distortion are really very good. Foot pro!

The highlight is that this pedal is really usable from a little grain to the saturated fat distortion (rock, eh, not metal!). it's really nice. We go from very soft to very hard without any difficulty.

The distortion sounds like a DS1 but exploitable, low saturation and with an additional reserve saturation limit.
The overdrive with a large grain, which as to the fuzz. A lot of personality.

The saturations are very classic but no shortage of personalities. Sometimes a little cold though.

Another (very) strong: respect undeniable guitar and exceptional momentum for a pedal of this type! even if we keep a dynamic saturation formidable!

Weakness: the effect is accompanied by a low-cut filter. This is inconvenient because it becomes difficult to have good bass, and this means strong enough when the effect triggers. It can also be seen as an advantage: It may be interesting in the studio. Live, it helps make the band's sound less draft. So a small switch would have been welcome to enable or disable the low-cut ...

-Versatility

Saturation-quality

The -:
-Cut down a little embarrassing, because loss bass.
Tone-and volume settings to adjust when switching from one mode to another saturation.
Otherwise the pedal would be perfect!

- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Yes, not bad. I also have a Boss DS1. I wanted to move towards the big overdrive. It is sure to make a good choice with this pedal. After, it depends on the sound that is sought.

- How would you rate the quality / price?
The price to be quite varied. A € 150, the price / quality ratio is very good. At € 175 it is good, I bought it at 200 €, it's worth it.

- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Did not find better for me. A classic to have in his pedal-board! effect of quality!
