Published on 08/21/13 at 14:25On this point, I would say a rear facade unique on the market, free or 2x4 or 1x4 1X8 or 2X8 or 1X16 Ohms, an effects loop, FS for activating the boost and / or TS9. Neo retro look really original and fun but Tolex fragile. You can not blame the lack of reverb and yet the sound is not nearly as dry as the old Valve Junior. The price is unbeatable.
UTILIZATION
The configuration is simple and I find very effective knobs.
Regarding the sound, it will depend on several factors, the amp is right and faithfully reproduces the sound of your mics, it goes without saying that the quality of these significantly influence the final result. The 5W/15w rendering is also slightly different but less than TT.
SOUNDS
The clean channel is TSA15 that the gain is the Tiny Terror, the highlight, musical with a clean, dynamic and tense personality, you can play background while remaining crisp and clear, the lack of reverb can be felt but the sound is never stiff.
The boost will twist your humbuckers and make the most aggressive single coil.
Effective TS9 with single peaked with doubles.
The cab is equipped with TSA112C Seventy80 supposed to be productive with this head, HP is in a V30, but not his general bad behavior will not be as useful as a greenback which proves to be the perfect companion imho.
It accepts pedals very well and other multi-effects, I also find that boost the input signal with a pedal drastically increases the impact of these powerful little amps at the base.
OVERALL OPINION
For home is the top to bottom on 5W is really fun, full power mode is to be reserved for rehearsals and concerts, but it will boost the input signal if you want a little more headroom, single default for all these mini amps.
