Where it goes bad: the preamp, like his colleagues, "vintage" and "clean" does not cons reaction, so the saturation comes quickly. If you're the type to make a small adjustment, press "rec" and surf the Internet when the musician is recording, you may be surprised.
If ever the level rises sharply, it will play the gain to ensure that the signal does not saturate. I said that it was a choice to design a preamp like that, I wanted to have this little light saturation (there talking about a tube preamp?)

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is reproduced correctly, and can be colored a lot by what one chooses as a gain, and what we tolerate as saturation.
It can be used on numerous sources, with many microphones. Because of its ability to saturate quickly, a microphone with an output level low will surely give better results.


OVERALL OPINION

it gives me the preamp the most interesting of which I propose, one that has more personality, but also the most difficult to use.
