I work for a long time Pro Tools, as part of the video post production, be it fiction or not. Former owner of a Digi 001 and wanting to buy a command 8, I needed an upgrade of pro tools so I bought this Mbox2.

I work on a PC with Asus A7V8X CM, an Athlon XP2800 +, 1G DDR, and multiple external drives or not, all in IDE.

I work a lot with the image, and I do not make music in Pro Tools so I do not need a card that can record more than two tracks simultaneously.

UTILIZATION

No problem to install, no incompatibility .... In short I do not understand what kind of problems some have encountered.

Plug & Play, USB ..... it's really quite simple.

GETTING STARTED

In terms of drivers .... regarding the operation of the card in Pro Tools is nickel .......... otherwise in respect of other applications, like iTunes or another is really mess. Pro Tools out there must admit that the wave driver is also toukours rotten .... even worse than before I think.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had one month and a half, I like its small size, its price, the new version of Pro Tools 7.
What I like least is the little gift (s) is (s) by Digidesign plug-in ... Always the same thing. There are 4 or 5 plugins available but if you do not do MIDI or music, no interest ....

Otherwise avce experience, I would do without this choice problem. The quality / price ratio is what it is but we know Digidesign always more or less where you go ....
