usb agree, but still pro - Reviews RME Audio Fireface UC

I had a portable config not too expensive, so a USB sound card to use with my laptop (600 euros) that allows me to get a few channels at the same time and with proper quality and reliability.
I added him a converter 8 in / 8 out Behringer ADA8000 (about 200 euros)
a headphone amp behringer (50 euros), I was able to put everything in rack with wheels and a housing for the computer (Fly Gator 2U: about 50 euros) and here I am with laptop config less than 2000 euros and hold water, for the fans.

Question reliability of the EMR, no problem so far, correct latency usable with virtual beats the time (it depends on the computer, mine is not overkill) and stable drivers, I am filled quality issue, two XLR inputs on the front seems to be very good with clear and precise preamp, no "noise", the following two entries in jack for connecting a guitar or bass, or what we want, but for a scratch c ' is the top for use virtual rig, no noise, real stuff, no gimmick, a sober and professional design, it's not the RME at a discount, it's just his pro usb card, only in this category I think.
So to summarize:
up to 16 simultaneous inputs with a usable latency for real-time, 4 with pro-quality preamps. (better to invest a little more than me in the computer to really enjoy)

Very simple installation, in fact I do not really remember, but if it does not impact on me was that it had to be simple and rapide.Pas crash or conflict with the native soundcard 'comp, I use it with Cubase 5 Live 8 and a lot of plug ins, I have no particular desire, sometimes some plug "doubtful" plant with Live, but I think that this is the EMR that is in cause.
The software that manages the card is quite logical and intuitive for someone who knows a bit consoles, the patch and routing in digital audio for a novice it may not be so simple, but it did is never, in any case I tested the MOTU 896 mk3 and there on the other hand I hated the software, although most complete eq, reverbs and all but too choppy, too gadget too, I did not need all this, I was soulé.
With the RME I have not needed to the real manual say is clear.

I use it for more than a year used, no worries, I do not regret any investment, I doubt that it must scare a bunch of people 900 euros for a USB sound card, but in fact all depends on what you want to do.
I have sold my home studio config, I had a 01V96 and 9652 RME on a tower PC, I did not like the sound of the console preamps and I could not move without feeling with moving, Now I have a real sound, and the ability to move and all without having to spend much, thanks to the resale of my old stuff. Well, before testing the RME I tried the MOTU by first adjusting the mini firewire port of my laptop (total failure), then adding a Firewire Express card (with Texas Instrument chipset) and there it was playing but it often cracked, adding to that the malfoutu software, it was not at all. Now I finally have the equipment that suits me in terms of quality, reliability and ergonomics.
