Switch with Eddie Van Halen
The color of the pedal and the LED are beautiful
A switch a knob, I think we can not simpler.
It is very easy to adjust, you plug it rotates and plays.
This is really a very very nice pedal. The small switch EVH allows a preset, the sound of the master.
Clearly not as saturated, it sounds ...
Otherwise the race knob is very effective, set to 11h c sound halenien van, 13 to 14h, c rather hendrixien. C frankly a very reactive pedal. and set to background, as its pretty funny c ..
I used a PRS Custom 22, now on a Les Paul custom shop reissue 1958 is terrible. At my pedalboard, it is placed so it can be used either before saturation (one of my amp) after saturation (g pedals for OD and Fuzz Disto passing him before).
I would say that I prefer rhythmic ME before saturation, but for leads I prefer to have it before, especially coupled with a small delay type in MXR Carbon Copy
Used in recent years, this pedal is not ready to leave my board, I tried anything else before, I wanted this pedal, referring me to a lot of reviews and video on the internet. And EVH switch is really a little more.
Very good value for money, I really do not want to change
No better than a Phase 90 R28 mod standard!
Nothing is easier as all the phaser brand. Namely, the effect of centering is done by the internal trimpot, attention well locate and mark the factory setting before touching.
Engaged with the mod, script position, the sound is cleaner than the standard phase 90 and there less distortion in the effect but we are still far from the original phase 90 or excellent reissue of the custom shop csp026.
Sold for a long csp026. For a phaser rather modern and rather strong but it is very good for those in search of his vintage no hesitation: csp026. And for those who has true bypass, LED and power supply absent from csp026 could miss csp026 or modified in AnalogMan Whirlwind Orange box
An excellent phaser foremost
The size of the nano pedal is handy on a pedalboard and it can be fed in a conventional manner 9V (negative polarity at the center as the most power).
Using ultra simple, one knob. Personally I use three knob positions: position 1/4 VH his classic position half its type Leslie, 3/4 position its type tremolo.
It is nevertheless regrettable that there is no effect level knob, but it is naturally well proportioned.
The sound of the MXR Phase 90 has proven, just look at the number of professionals who integrate Pedalboards this pedal, it is not by chance. The phaser is very musical, there is no frequency screaming like phasers cheaps.
Personally I position the switch in the "modern" even if the impact is actually not revolutionary, on my gear I think it adds a bit of definition to the phasing effect.
Regarding the sound of Van Halen, nothing wrong, the test is simple: I plug my EVH Wolfgang tube in a Marshall, I set the phaser to about 1/4, I play the intro and Atomic Punk I seem to hear the album!
An excellent phaser, his legend and not just that of Van Halen, but you pay a bit expensive design EVH ...
I use it for 7 years after having had a cheap Ibanez phaser, and I see no reason to change.
as it says it is a pedal "Phase" and click on it stage! just a big knob on the pedal to set the intensity of the effect, pure analog, true bypass pedalboard put in a brief it fulfills that function, side connections that could not be more simple, input, output a power supply or ability to work the pedal with a 9 volt battery. There is also a button on the top left "script" engaged or not, the sound does not change ... I read on various forums that this feature is supposed to allow the sound deteriorates when multiple pedals are not triggered true to say that is not obvious, not to say non-existent ....
There is a manual, but it is of no use here, we click and it works, turn the knob to stage it more or less, taking less than five minutes hand shows hands after dairy business is like it or not, I personally do not find much difference with the "Phase 90 and Phase 100" from MXR also in the same register there to "Small Stone" from Electro-Harmonix, a bit more "vintage" once again a matter of taste!
effect and effective and of good quality, made for the guitar, it is convincing in its clear saturation, tweaks and it would almost "Eddie" himself, or at least "close to the truth"
I use it for 3 years sporadically, I am generally quite satisfied, the grain is modern in comparison to the "Small Stone" Electro-Harmonix, the downside is that I think it does quite indistinguishable from other "Phase" from MXR, it is a little more expensive because it is the line "EVH" all for a painting is a bit bad, despite this, is a pedal MXR EVH90 quality robust and that sound will delight fans of the genre.
