OVERALL OPINION

Intended to be installed by me on a Fender Marcus Miller 4c replacing the original preamp and bought at Thomann unassembled kit version.
The equipment is supplied with two mounting planes in English, virtually no explanations, references capacitors shown on the plan do not correspond to those received, which does not facilitate the installation, not easy to do the conversions to mount the right parts in the right place.
For over 50 years planning a good magnifying glass, welds to be made are numerous and hyper careful, do not do the job with the world around ("Honey, you just eat ...").
I installed the hardware on the original plate by choosing MM volume / volume and selection of micro series / parallel controlled by the original mini switch that had become obsolete.
The serial / parallel option microphone is of course not specified in the plan, but doable with a bit of "reflection".
Now if the sound is top, the selection of micro serial / parallel provides more, it would be a shame to miss ...

UTILIZATION

The output level of the preamp tt is simply astounding! I mounted my Marcus Miller Jazz Bass sound is dmant. When the strings are new I leave the knob acute tjr 0 and low background, once the strings a little tired I go slightly treble ms dej trs trs are present.

SOUNDS

- It is perfect for any style of music, I said ALL well because it is not very typical!
For my part I am energetic music such as rock, stoner rock, and the level of output is simply astounding!

I have mounted on my corvette bubinga 5cordes (the 5th was so so) and it is impressive, the strings are the same value, and momentum is simply awesome! I play with a serious background and an / 8 of acute, so they should now be cut limit for they are not screaming! therefore the new ropes, mini level, and the old strings at a little more important!

Same-settings with another preamp, bold, crystalline, anything is possible now with this amp, do not be afraid to change lest the microphones lose its definition, ca happen again ...
I put 8 because the treble is too present for my taste, but fans will appreciate slap!

OVERALL OPINION

The price is more important than the other preamp, but it is justified ...

warwick has changed my aggressiveness of MM (and I joke not, it pierces into the mix dramatically!), the roundness of a jazz bass (well the less obvious, but the round is pretty serious, in the manner of a jazz but not exactly like a jazz, grain and fender warwick differ quite a bit of it!)!
