The Beyer Dynamic DT 990 Pro’s are super comfortable, and the fold-up design is awesome. I've owned my pair for at least 7 years (ish) and they're just about all I've used. They're very durable and they sound REALLY good. And in fact, that is probably my only issue with the 7506. They sound too good. Pretty much every mix I've ever done with them sounds unbelievably awesome in the headset, but when the final mix is played on another system, there is much to adjust. I guess you just have to learn to compensate, but it seems like a lot of compensation especially on the lows and clarity of it all (as in the headset sounds much fuller, clearer and punchier than the mix really is). I have a set of expensive Beyer Dynamics I've owned for a long time, but never used them because they don't pump out the volume levels that the 7506 does and they don't initially sound as good. I'm going to try to make the switch to mixing with the Beyer set and see how it differs. All that to say, I still think the 7506 is a great set especially for any musicians that would be using them in the studio or on the stage (like drummers). I'm just not positive it's the best set for accurate mix representation.

They translate well, are constructed better and more comfortable than the 7506s. They are in my opinion, the best bang for the buck right now. Comfortable, rugged and most importantly, represent the mix closest to what my monitors are telling me with added detail. Prior to using the ATH-M50s the low end on my mixes was always somewhat off. In the last year that I have used these phones, my mixes have improved dramatically, specifically in the low end where the issues were. Yes, they are a $50 more but well worth it.

I use it recently prs 4 months, I use it especially for mixes, masters and also for the cost. Before I had a seinheiser HD200, I had the opportunity to cost the DT 770 professional studio, which had appeared irrprochable.

Good quality of the cost is incomparable with my old headphone, and it is very similar to my monitor speakers. I just bought this famous 990 pro headphones as incense by the posters. FYI I have Koss Porta Pro.
Well it is day and night! The 990 is how I can make a real joy ca a musical treat. First bass: they are not too present just enough unless the Koss. The top end and mids are well and that's good. They come out much better than the Koss is a bit flat in the area.

I bought the headphone BEYER DYNAMIC DT990 6 months ago. I am passionate about hi-fi headphones, and I have other models: the Sennheiser HD650, Sennheiser HD570 and the AKG K240 Monitor.
This marks the start of the Beyer is its robustness. Metal arch, record sound, ear protected by a metal grid, it is on to keep it very long.
For comfort, it is rather good, although I find it slightly behind the sennheiser. I can still keep two or three hours on the ears without a feeling of heat that I could feel on some models. The velvet ear are good bills and pleasant to touch. You can also easily replace them and find them on a site well known German hi-fi.

Just as the most important quality of sound. I'm basically a pro Sennheiser, and I was quite reluctant to buy a brand Beyer headphones, because I find the treble too present and limit aggressive. It turns out that over time, I found undeniable qualities. The purity of sound, including classical music is impressive.
However, the bass is a little behind, and I can not find the power and the disposal of my HD 650. I would say the Beyer headphones more "wise", which sounds right, but does not provide specific sensations. It restores the music beautifully, but does not thrill.

My opinion may be a bit hard because my particular is noted by Beyer rappot the HD 650 which is 2 times its price. Its value for money is excellent, because you can find around 150 euros, if you decide to purchase the old model (the 2005 version is more expensive).

I do not regret my choice, and I will redeem your eyes closed if it again. I could just advise those who are undecided to test the equipment before buying, because each brand has its qualities, to Beyer Sennheiser through AKG, Koss, Grado, Audio Technica or Stax (with only it, qualities!)

Pro musician: I use it for monitoring (at night) and / or to the precise details of the mix SONET and for my pleasure ... MOSTLY!
Restitution incredible! Broadband noise and very linear / uniform / fine. (Of course it's not the MP3 that you enjoy any accuracy ... I rediscovered a lot of "details" on CD. Robuste.Marque serious!

Those who want a headphone like "techno" will be disappointed, all frequencies are present but not distorted as unfortunately you get used to the ds + from other brands (there will soon + as inra super-low- acute in our ears!). The defects do not forgive + believe me: I even found rotting on some mix CD!
