jcserlet's review

By jcserlet, 17/05/2014
2 months ago this headphone delights me; he is my favorite among my collection (akg K701, Sennheiser HD650, audio technica ath-ad900 ...)
this makes me happy: his excellence on all types of music (classical, jazz, rock, pop ...); not a fan of electronic music, rap I do not know what would then
expensive (€ 379) but well equipped (atria and additional cable, carrying case) all delivered in a sturdy box
if I had known before I would have avoided superfluous purchases!
seen sound rendering, comfort is an excellent price / quality ratio
that's for sure: I would buy

listening at times when my wife is still asleep: my very morning drugs are music and literature

well made with a detachable but specific connector (a connector on each earpiece)
I have 2 months: seems to hold up well to a sedentary use

it is an open headphone so no insulation from outside noise (not important because I use in the morning or at night when the silence in the house)
good noise

reliable headset

By angieguitar, 16/09/2013
How long have you use it? 15 days, 3 hours, 7 minutes, 28 seconds and 18 milliseconds
Have you tried many other models before buying it? In 40 years of zic: ben a little nephew The latest: the Ultrasone Pro 2900 I returned just arrived.
What is the particular feature you like best and least? No ... I believe only 500 €, a headphone should do the job for which he was put on the market.
How would you rate the quality / price? Normal, nothing to shout'''' V'nez see is the price to put on a headphone when you want a realistic mix that goes almost everywhere. Compared with listening to 3 or 4000 € per pair (in addition to local and accommodating neighbors) the price does not seem overdone.
With experience, you do again this choice? ... But if the experience I have (I chure chuis fly) and so if I broke my ass to give notice and that the headset is not left in directos Thotho is that j ' I made the right choice. After that, everyone does what he wants ... and as the first quality of a good tip is precisely that of not being followed, I do not recommend this headset to anyone. In addition I do not share Shure, so I do not see the point ..!

Why do you use this headset (sound, mixing, mastering, live, studio ...)? For: mixing, mastering and audiophile listening.
Its coatings are they nice? I like the carpet mohair curly hair, she takes out the odors of clops
What music do you listen to? Devil! Is there specific headphones to listen to a particular genre of music ... silly question.
Fits there easily to your head and your ears? Well, it is known: all manufacturers produce headphones unsuitable for human morphology, which is worse in my case because they (the manufacturers) are completely unaware that I am two-headed (active Chernobyl radio) that I ' have a big head and Jumbo makes me jealous fits
Do you find it tiring during extended wear (headband too tight, holding warm ear)? No, the headphones are lightweight and easy to forget.

The headphone you seem weak or strong? Ok, this is a headphone € 500 and if there must be fragile, it will be on the connection!
He has a detachable connection? Yes! As a clip for each ear and differential L and R by a different color. No jack that screws. It is specified in the user manual (or manual in Portuguese) not fun to disconnect and reconnect the connector. I do not feel obliged to lose 15 cm of wire to create a point of tension as the Sennheiser HD 600 that the connection is really bad thought.
Its appearance or performance have they degraded over time? I can not judge after 15 days of use as intensive as it is.

The audio quality of the headphones you she looks good (serious overall balance, mid, treble, stereo)?
-I for 40 years using a headphone for all others listening music, TV, internet, mixing, mastering. A headphone, ipso facto, isolated from the surrounding noise and feedback from experts who feel obliged to give (s?) Opinion (essential and informed) when we do not ask them.
-A headset provides 10 times more on a mix that the global interception on pregnant and I can not do without.
-The Shure SRH1840 provides the same as listening to the Sennheiser HD 600 I have. Not really obvious differences.
-Can almost speak of'' neutral''. But the trap of this type of headphone is acute: to make unpleasant acute, you really need to go to the overdose.
Specifically, if in Ozone (mastering plug), acute cross the line -6 Db or flirt with the line of pink noise (see Snapshot and right-6Db guide and Pink guide), this is not really disturbing . If listening is done on another headphones (Sennheiser HD 515 in my case) are unpleasant acute and mastering, we can no longer use to excite to aerate the mix and there is no longer any room for maneuver.
You sound level seems too low or too high? This is practically the same as the HD 600! Ie: low! Topic for discussion: it seems that the impedance has a significant bearing on loyalty, restitution and the reliability of a headphone. We need a good preamp ...
-What is he of sound insulation (do you hear outside noise from your headphones, and is what people hear the music you listen to)? Yeah, because it is an open headphone!
