Not convinced of their linearity

By zicmania24, 06/05/2011
Listened to a friend who sold them to get a better idea of their record. The purpose: home studio monitors

SOUNDS

The response curve does not seem at all neutral. Almost the same sound as the Berhinger 2031 P, a little less dirty in the extreme treble but only 90% say it is identical. Where are the psychics? We hear that the bass and treble.

On the CD Totem Zazie but it'll almost over Michael Jackson, Sanson, Helene Segara's and many others so there is not listenable. Sorry to say but the media are not at all while on the Celestion 3 (reference monitor in his time) the Celestion 66 Studio, NS10 and many others that I sound good.

OVERALL OPINION

I think these speakers are not linear at all, as many monitors today, but the worst is that so expensive speakers have the sound of the entry-level knowledge Berhinger.

Dja we know the main line ....
But I wish that recalls the formwork suffers traitemnt worthy of their best concert piano.
kind of 5 different materials used and related by 7 different coat of paint .....
This has the effect of giving them a charm ... even if such technology is only there for favorites dabord the quality sound ;-)

SOUNDS

The sound is really excellent, impeccable stereo ultimately no surprises, no nothing to say frankly, that's good.
But I think the attention to feel all the tricks (of primarily low frequencies), it is better to have a minimum surface, in fact they are more made for studio medium or large. less than 10m Seems a bit just to promote the "neutrality.

Reminder: "the pair almost 400w"

OVERALL OPINION

For me, these speakers by delegates from a form of marriage between the legendary NS10M and HR824 (completely subjective opinion), what I say is seen that there is great musicality and precision of the signal.

Only downside is it 20kg heavier pieces .... have to find something!

Finally I would say I'm crazy about these speakers ... I could sell more stuff in my home studio, or want to change dcption ....
but one thing is for sure I would never sell this place that I find perfect for all levels !!!!!!!!!

Adi is known mainline ....

But I want rapeler the shuttering of the walls undergo traitemnt worthy of their best concert of piano.
5 different kind of materials used and line by 7 different coat of varnish .....
which has the effect of giving them a charm ...
(Even if this kind of technique is First of the favorites for the sound quality)

SONORITS

The sound is really excellent, impeccable stereo ultimately not a single surprise not frankly nothing to say, that's good.
But beware I think to feel all the niceties (low frquence mainly), it is better to have a minimum surface, in fact it is more made for using studio or large. within 15m ca seems a little just to promote the "neutrality.

Reminder: "almost 400w pair"

NOTICE GLOBAL

For me, these speakers represents a form of marriage between the legendary NS10M and HR824 (completely subjective opinion), what I say is seen that there is great musicality and precision of the signal.

Only small default it is 20kg heavier pieces .... must find something !!!

Finally I would say I'm crazy about these speakers ... I could sell stuff SEVERAL my home studio, through desire for change or dcption ....
but one thing is sure I would never sell these pregnant I found everything perfect level !!!!!!!!!

Choice RALIS APRS comparative costs of several MODEL, 500 to 2000 euros ... These monitors suggested a few tricks of the mix that others do not rvlait bcp ...
I use it to mix and prmasteris ... 400 watt pair in my pice of 16m2 that is bein good enough!
Event of the lower front dnc placement easier. Heavy (20 kilos spices) but at least it look robust ...

SOUNDS

Excellent Stereo, relatively neutral but its hyper prcis, "surgical" trs little tiring and even a low and high sound volume.
Prsence pretty low (rare yamaha!) And its clear and Retailer ... I redcouvre many albums.

Contrary to other models (may be more prcis?) These speakers do not sound like sublime mix of the work of beginners. if the mix is good, a ring. Some monitors gave the impression that massive attack mezzanine t had produced a class of CM2 basically no hope of anything the sound it ...

About the famous linear curve of these monitors (if CHRE) is a hell of foutage geule! you put the high tone and is still low (on a so-called 50Hz 20Khz). I remain puzzled about the major brands such as Adam or Genelec that I do not like at all ...

OVERALL OPINION

It CHRE dtour but it's worth. This is an incredible precision and when it sounds, it sounds. The subwoofer is not required, however, I think I like the bass (arghhh!) I use bcp to mix of electronic sound, but also made noise. I possde recently but I will give my opinion in a few months ...

Just a reminder, this is trs subjective, you really have to listen DIFFERENT MODELS because of a trademark on the other it sounds completely DIFFERENT ... While the so-called Linares and is a perfect rponse dynamaique big joke ... on the other hand is really high quality!

(But it's not true if these speakers silent "perfect" while The models would sound just like prs, right?)
