I Charches an external sound card to connect keyboard and guitar on my PC and use it all with Reason & Cubase

UTILIZATION

The drivers are minimalist and hyper hyper efficiency, we may regret that there is no equalization in the drivers (the other is discoverable, however, with this feature) but since we can not Génat all parameters from any sequencer or audio player!
latency with no keyboard or guitar, you can record two tracks simultaneously, no worries!

GETTING STARTED

installation without problems, a 6 year old could do it there 2 times a click "next"!
Presonus before providing a light with cubase, henceforth, it was with Studio One, which is frankly a very good alternative to Cubase!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years, I did not try other models because several musician friends had advised me with the quality / price ratio perfect for the home studio!

The drivers are supplied cans, it's where the real problem, the solution is simple.
Let me explain does not install the drivers ... and yes you just need to install the well asio4all
and configure the card works perfect with no cracking or noticeable latency.
I is not trying to install the cubase I am Reaper.

It was at that time the best value on Thomann, for those who were looking for an external sound card 2 tracks. I especially love all that all the buttons are on the front.

It is sturdy metal, it is an asset.

I tried this external adapter on a laptop Win XP SP3 (2006) and on a recent macbook, it works smoothly and without driver for the mac and with the newest driver taken from the presonus site for the PC .

UTILIZATION

I use the card to run Cubase and Reason in rewire with a MIDI keyboard, plus two audio tracks for recording. This bundle runs without any latency, even on my old PC just powerful.

I still want to point out that the driver provided originally on the CD was much less stable than the one I downloaded after.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it frequently for a year and a half, I also had the opportunity to experience the Alesis IO2 on the PC, again I have not had any problems but I prefer that all buttons are on the front for use in rack.

It's a choice I would make again without hesitation.

Very standard features for an external sound card. Not innovation, but not lacking.

Presonus has still received several times the "price" for the best preamp in its class, so it's a safe bet.

2 mic inputs (XLR) / Line (Jack 6.35). it is powered directly via USB. Supplied with Cubase LE 4.

Gain for each input, output, headphones, adjustable main output.
Monitoring is very useful when it is used with the computer, because a there a knob that allows you to mix more or less (depending on your choice) from monitoring the PC with the arrival of the instrument front panel.

UTILIZATION

I use it in home studio. There is no latency, and breath almost nonexistent.

I tested not long ago the simulations (VST instruments). Not bad, but it is not memorable. Over the initial sounds in Cubase LE 4 it is quite limited. Fortunately, we can easily find free online. But nothing can replace a "real track."

I intend to invest in a electronic drums shortly. I might want to test the MIDI output.

The drivers work very well, and yet I am under Seven 64-bit ...

I have not done very thorough testing due to time and I have recorded only 5 tracks. In any case, with 4 tracks in playback while recording, there was still no latency.
However there is a lot of digital crunch at the start (on monitoring only). No repisse in the Rec!
The most peculiar is that over time there are less and less ...

In short, the installation is very simple, if you know a minimum Cubase ... Otherwise it is a puzzle. The PDF Cubase leaflet is still well done. You really have no excuse not to do it.

I have not seen any incompatibility issues. Caution, however, drivers are associated with the USB port into which your card the first time! So if for some reason X or Y you want to use the card to a different USB port, you must re-affiliate the drivers on the new USB port, otherwise your card will be accepted but will not talk with Cubase ... (I pulled the hair because of this bullshit!)

No need to read the manual for the card, only for Cubase.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for four months. I tried many other models: M-Audio, Line 6, Mackie, etc... It's kiff-kiff. The advantage here is price. Indeed, it is a bit cheaper than its competitors.

It's good stuff. Do not hesitate, it's worth it!

Interface quality for a budget really minimal. The quality of preamps that seem better than on a Fast Track Pro.

UTILIZATION

after blocking the sound card's internal computer and the HDMI connector for audio, the card is automatically detected and priority with alsa and jack.
17.5 ms latency I can get below 10 ms quibble tweaks jack. It should also be amended Fihi limits.conf to access real time.

I had a very bad experience with Alesis I / O 2 (beurk!)
This time everything is fine.

I use it mainly with my sm57 to record my acoustic guitar (nylon and gypsy), connected directly to my pc.
Regarding my computer config (win7) is rather light but works well for music, that's all I ask. 

UTILIZATION

Drivers stable, in fact it depends on the stability of your pc: some have had major latency issues, in my case I never had this concern.
I use acid pro 4 for registering, but with this software I can record one track at a time. For reading, for now I can read multiple tracks, the only limit is the RAM.

We plug in the device powered by USB, it installs the operating cd and go!
Regarding the config, 5 knobs (inst + mic1, inst + mic2 + (jack / XLR) an LED clip for each, a mixer input / playback very useful, a phone and a hand, a 48v phantom power) for front.
An exit left, one right, a phone and midi in and out the rear.
So yes, very easy configuration!
Regarding the manual ... nothing, but it was almost useless. (There may be one, but as I bought secondhand ...).
I forgot, sold with Cubase, but I could not register it as it was previously done is saved with the previous user.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 7 months and I am completely satisfied! stable, no breath, ideal for recording acoustic instruments, what I do mostly.
I tried other models like Line6 Pod, but I preferred this mdel, which brings me to the following topic:
What I like about this model is that there is no interface, no sound bank or modeling, which to me is a huge time saver, at least the sound you creates is ours, no frills other than the addition of our potential effects pedals!
What is missing in my opinion is at least a meter and the knobs are a bit small for my taste, but details are only given the quality of the device.
Excellent value for money considering what it cost me and if I had to redo the selection of that brand, I would take a more elaborate model. Try

Having read a lot of tests and reviews on this type of hardware:
the preamps, the case in metal until all potentiomtres, the new software provided and not any but : multimedia Artist Studio One, much better than the former Cubase LE.
Instruments: Guitars, keyboards.
Microphones: dynamic (D330BT AKG, Shure 58) and condenser (AKG 220, MXL990), and finally need preamps, those of the Audio Box are excellent, the first that I meet of this quality, with the same price range as the Edirol UA-4FX and their big sisters ..
Already adapted in direct / mobile and on portable Mac (to save workspace).

UTILIZATION

Drivers, very well known, not easier, there are updates but I have not used them, because everything functions well.
The Software: of course Studio One Artist, a thundering surprise, and Mixcraft + Samplitude.
The tracks in pairs, for now read 12/14.
Latency measurement without choice: 4ms.

Hardware configuration very easy: gain, mixing, monitoring, good.
No incompatibility issue to date, that is why I waited a bit before posting a review.
The manual is useless and fun because you can still find the explanation for using Cubase LE not provided for a while now.

Pros: the preamp, the look, the impression of solidity compared to its small size,
all in metal, not an ounce of plastic = no parasite invasion, the ease of use ..

Cons: where?
Whereas if you consider the price of the Bundle and the quality of Audiobox, as of today, 149 Euros new, this is by far the best offer you can not miss.
To this day I would repeat without hesitating my choice, no need to invest anymore in
FireWire modles, USB 2 is an achievement.

I was looking for an external sound card that maximized the quality / price ratio for D/A converters.

I use it with a RODE, or instruments in XLR. I use monster cables.

I use it for recording with my Dual Core.

UTILIZATION

The drivers are stable in the case where one downloads the latest on the website.  We can throw out the installation cd once we got home.

I use FL Studio 9 for all process steps. As usual, the adjustment of the latency is what more tanning.

The A / D converters are very interesting for the price, for this reason I suggest it for those who want the good stuff semi-pro not too expensive.

The product is clearly superior to all M-Audieux that I heard.

Only problem, the headset jack has virtually no bass, it annoys me because it sounds attacking when I mix with headphones. In this case, I use the internal sound card on my laptop!!
