Squier Classic Vibe Series: The Test

Do you feel the vibe? Squier has been making low-cost guitars based on Fender designs since 1982. Because their early guitars have now become collector items for some, Squier is seeking to regain some of that magic with their Classic Vibe Series. This latest series was launched to capture the "vibe" of classic Fender designs as opposed to trying to be exact reproductions of vintage models. read more…

Best Punk Rock Guitar for good price! (Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s)

By difer, 09/10/2017
Which amplifier?
i'play on vox ac30 with my band:

effect(s) do you use with this guitar?
nothing only my amplifier overdrive

What playing and musical style(s) do you play with this guitar?
i play Punk rock:
i play metal in my room

What are your thoughts on the workmanship, electronics, and finish of this instrument? How is its intonation? Does its neck, touch, feel, shape, etc complement your playing style?
i think evererything is correct for the price maybe need an unpgrade for the microphones.

Do clean, crunchy and distorted sounds adapt well to different microphone positions? Are the guitar's different frequencies and sounds well-balanced?
i play more on distortion but clean is good:

Its no G&L but great for the money (Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special)

By pappabass, 27/07/2016
1. You can not compare a Squier to a G&L or American Fender. I was looking for a beater/practice bass & refused to touch a Squier. Then I saw the Jag. Could not put it down. I owned a Fender Jazz that was better, but this particular Squier Jaguar VM special is better than a mex Fender P I owned. I must have lucked out on a good one. This one has the active bass boost. Fender rep said that the VM series are the better of the Squires. I get compliments on the looks and the sound. I even played it an audition a couple of weeks ago. Hey, can't complain, it stays in tune, looks good, $150.00 pawn shop find.
